Apollo Group TV Device Limit: How Many Screens Can I Watch? (2026)
One of the most common questions we get is: "How many devices can I use with one Apollo Group TV subscription?"
The short answer is 5 Devices. However, there are specific rules about where you can watch, especially when it comes to TVs versus mobile devices.
5 Simultaneous Streams Allowed
Table of Contents
1. The 5-Connection Rule Explained
Every standard Apollo Group TV subscription comes with 5 simultaneous connections. This means you can have 5 different screens active at the exact same time.
But be careful: Where you watch matters.
2. Can I Use It In Different Houses? (The Real Rules)
This is the most critical part of our service policy to prevent account sharing.
Example: You cannot have one TV playing in New York and another TV playing in London simultaneously. This will trigger Error 456.
The Mobile Exception
However, you CAN use mobile devices anywhere. You can watch on your TV at home while simultaneously watching on:
- Your iPhone/Android Phone (on 4G/5G).
- Your Laptop (at a hotel).
- Your Tablet (at a friend's house).
3. Installing vs. Watching
There is NO LIMIT on how many devices you can install the app on. You only use a "slot" when you actually hit Play.
You can install Apollo on every device in your house. The limit only applies to how many are streaming at the same moment.
4. Need More Screens? (Add-on Deal)
Do you have a vacation home, or do you want to share your account with a family member in another city without getting blocked?
You do not need to buy a second full-price subscription!
🚀 Add an Extra Device Slot
We offer a special Add-on Device option for a very low rate. This allows you to add an extra concurrent connection that can be used from a different IP address.

5. Connection Limit FAQs
Does recording count as a connection?
Yes. If you are recording a show in the background using Tivimate, that counts as 1 active connection.
Can I use a VPN to bypass the location lock?
If you use a VPN on both devices and connect to the same server location (e.g., both connected to New York #1), it may work, but we recommend the official Add-on for stability.
What happens if I exceed 5 devices?
The 6th device will simply fail to load and show Error 458: Authorization Failed.
